Real pieces,
rebuilt by hand.
Sofas, chairs, banquettes and ottomans that come through the shop on Technology Drive — upholstery resolved by hand, down to the last seam.
Furniture shown is Raul’s upholstery work. Select settings have been digitally staged to present each piece clearly.
01Built-In Banquette
The corner banquette. Vertical channels run the length of the back and keep their spacing as the seat turns the corner. The seat is covered in the same blue-grey cloth, set on a plain plywood storage base.

Sofas, tailored
A three-seat sofa in a coral woven pattern, with sloped, rolled arms and three loose back cushions; and a long sofa in brown leather, its seat and back tufted in a regular diamond grid.
Chairs with something to say
Two lounge chairs with open walnut-toned arms and navy leather seats and backs. Beside them, a pair of tall wing chairs in a teal patterned velvet, each with a small matching lumbar pillow.
Built to the room
A long daybed-style banquette in orange upholstery along two walls; a bed with a patterned headboard and a deep navy bench at its foot; and a built-in window seat, tufted and finished in cream, over drawers.
Pieces to be looked at
A tiered, tufted back in black velvet edged in fuchsia, over a round seat with beaded fringe; a plum velvet lounge chair with a sweeping tufted back and white piping; and a carved dark frame in a cream textured cloth.
One pattern, two shapes
A waterfall stool beside a channel-tufted one in the same yellow-and-white basket pattern, and a large square ottoman in a multi-stripe chenille with a dark band above its base.
Made for public use
A curved banquette with blue seats and white backs, around a round table with a matching blue edge; and blue cushions and pillows on a circular stone seat around a fire pit, beside a pool.
The craftsmanship
Where the work shows.
Good upholstery is judged at arm's length: whether a pattern meets at the seam, whether piping runs true around a curve, whether tufting is even. Each of these is a crop from a full-size original.
More work
More from the shop.
Three more pieces: a curved sofa with a carved frame and nailhead trim, a deep plush recliner, and a set of dining chairs with striped backs.
